WHAT IS THERAPEUTIC TOUCH?

Sue Lam became interested in learning Therapeutic Touch to compliment her holistic wellness practice. She completed her TT training and is a member of TT practices groups in Ontario and USA. When Sue's mother entered a hospice with terminal cancer, Sue gave her mother TT sessions to give comfort and ease her in transitioning over.

Therapeutic Touch (aka TT) is a research-based healing method using universal energy to promote balance and wellness. The TT practitioner consciously directs universal energy through their hands to facilitate the healing process. The client’s energy field is rebalanced which then enhances their natural ability to heal themselves. While TT practitioner is giving treatment to another person, universal energy passes through both persons, and both will receive healing as a result.

An example of channelling healing written in 2 CORINTHIANS 1:3-4, interpreted by Sarah Young.

"When you need comfort, I love to enfold you in My arms. I enable you not only to feel comforted but also to be a channel through whom I comfort others. Thus you are doubly blessed, because a living channel absorbs some of whatever flows through it."

Therapeutic Touch is practiced by health professionals, holistic practitioners, therapists, clergy, educators, and volunteers in community settings, hospitals, hospices, and health clinics. There is ongoing research studies supporting the effectiveness of TT as a complementary healing method. TT is taught and practiced throughout the world.

TT PRACTICE GROUP

TT practice group is a collegial group of TT students and practitioners who meet monthly in-person or online over Zoom. Members support each other by sharing TT knowledge and giving TT sessions to each other. It is important for TT students and practioners to join a TT practice and find support with others.
